Dear colleagues,
(Our apologies if you read this message at the
<http://nomadic.sourceforge.net>nomadic.sourceforge.net newsgroup.)
Our Nomadic XR4000 suffered a recent power failure and we are hoping one of
you will be able to assist us in finding a solution to fix the problem. In
summary, the primary power controller board, responsible for the power
conditioning, battery charging, etc., stopped working after we accidentally
turned on the robot without connecting one of the batteries. With this an
over voltage protection diode in the board blew off; even after replacing
the diode the board fails to operate properly.
We would like to either purchase a spare board (which we know is probably
unlikely to be feasible); or find the board's schematic diagrams to verify
all components and find the culprit.
Any advice or pointers that can lead us into solving the problem will be
appreciated. All useful responses will be summarized and posted to the
SourceForge newsgroup for future reference.
Thank you,
Josue Ramos
