                     Human-Robot Interaction Challenge
AAAI 2007 Robot Competition and Exhibition

                          In conjunction with the
Twenty-Second National Conference on Artificial Intelligence
                    Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
                              July 22-26, 2007

The AAAI 2007 HRI Challenge will be a showcase for the state of the art in
human-robot interaction. The goal of the challenge is to demonstrate
engaging interactions between people and robots in activities that
intrinsically integrate perception and action using high-level AI
techniques. Teams will compete in one or more categories representing
various aspects of HRI (e.g., recognizing and reacting appropriately to
gestures, emotions, commands, etc.). Detailed descriptions of the
categories are available at http://www.nd.edu/~pscherm1/HRI.html.

Please consider taking part in this summer's competition, and pass this
invitation on to others who might be interested. Time is running short, and
we need as many teams as possible to ensure a successful challenge.
