Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2008 5th International
Symposium on Mechatronics and its Applications (ISMA08) co-organized by the
American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Jordan Engineers Association (JEA).
The Conference will be held on May 27-29, 2008 in Amman, Jordan.

ISMA08 is the fifth of a series of symposia that focuses on theoretical and
practical aspects of Mechatronics. The Symposium covers the synergetic
integration of mechanical engineering with electronics, intelligent control,
and design and manufacturing of industrial products and processes. For more
details, please visit the Symposium Website at: http://www.isma-conf.org

ISMA08 will feature the following world renowned keynote speakers:

. Prince Dr. Turki Al-Saud, VP, King Abdul-Aziz City of Science and
Technology (KACST)

. Sebastian Thrun, Professor, Stanford University

. Rashid Bashir, Director, Micro and Nanotechnology Laboratory,
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

. Toshio Fukuda, Nagoya University

. Sajal K. Das, Director CReWMaN, University of Texas at Arlington

Prospective participants of the ISMA08 are invited to submit full papers by

ISMA08 papers will be published in the ASME/IEEE Transaction on Mechatronics
in the October 2008 issue.

The Symposium venue will be in Amman, Jordan home of the ancient city of
Petra, recently voted among the new Seven Wonders of the World
