The Haptics Symposium is a bi-annual, single-track conference that
brings together researchers who are advancing the human science,
technology, and design processes underlying haptic (force and
tactile) interaction systems. Our community spans the disciplines of
biomechanics, psychology, neurophysiology, engineering, human-
computer interaction and computer science. The 2010 advance program
will soon be posted on the website.
To complement the Symposium's oral and poster presentations, we seek
hands-on demonstrations of all kinds - for example, of novel
developments in haptics-related devices, software, or experiments
that are of interest to the conference audience. A hands-on
demonstration is an excellent way to increase awareness of your work
and obtain valuable first-hand feedback from other haptics
researchers. As an additional benefit, the conference will include a
best demo award.
We welcome both completely new submissions and demonstrations that
support an oral or poster presentation already accepted to the
conference. Demonstrations associated with a poster presentation
will be collocated with the poster, while other demonstrations will
be given their own space at the conference. Accepted demonstrations
will be given a very brief oral presentation slot and may be
accompanied by a poster if a posterboard is requested at the time of
submission.
Demonstrations are requested via the Demonstration Submission Form,
which requires a title, list of authors, image, 100-word abstract,
and logistical details. Submissions will be reviewed by the Co-Chairs
for Exhibits, Demonstrations, and Posters to ensure they are of
interest to conference attendees and free from commercial content.
The demonstration description will be published in the (non-archived)
Symposium Digest distributed to conference attendees.

Demonstration Descriptions Due:
11:59 pm PST on January 6, 2010
We are looking forward to receiving your demo submissions and seeing
you at Haptics Symposium in March.
Many thanks,
