2009 IEEE CONFERENCE ON AUTOMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING August
 22-25, 2009 Bangalore, India
Sponsored by IEEE Robotics and Automation Societyhttp://www.ieee-case.org

We are delighted to inform you that the fifth annual IEEE Conference
on Automation Science and Engineering (IEEE CASE 2009), sponsored by
the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, will be held from August 22
to 25, 2009, in Bangalore, India. IEEE CASE is the primary forum for
cross-industry research in automation. The goal of this conference is
to provide a broad, high quality coverage and dissemination of
foundational research on "automation" among academicians, researchers,
and industry practitioners. The focus is on scientific methods for
automated machines and systems operating in structured environments
over long periods, and also on the explicit structuring of
 environments.

CASE is an offspring of the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science
and Engineering, IEEE T-ASE (www.ieee.org/t-ase). High quality CASE
papers will be recommended for publication in this flagship automation
 journal.

 VENUE AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS

The conference will be held in Hotel Grand Ashok, one of Bangalore's
best hotels. Bangalore is a leading hub of India's modern economy and
a primary base for many global companies, especially in the IT sector.
It is also the home for many of India's premier research institutions,
including the Indian Institute of Science and numerous research labs
of the government and global companies. Bangalore is distinguished by
its salubrious weather and by a colorful and attractive lifestyle that
results from the seamless blending of the old and the modern Indian
 cultures.

A Tour of Infosys Technologies, India's leading IT Company is being
organized on August 25, 2009. A Complimentary Tour of Mysore (a city of
magnificent palaces, temples, and architectural marvels) is also being
arranged. A cultural program featuring one of India's best troupes of
classic music and dance will be a part of the conference program.
