The Technical Committee on Mechanisms & Robotics of the ASME Design
Engineering Division invites your participation in the 34th Mechanisms and
Robotics Conference scheduled as part of the 2010 ASME International Design
Engineering Technical Conferences and Computers and Information in
Engineering Conferences at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, in Montreal,
Canada, from August 15-18, 2010.

The ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Conference provides a premier international
forum for the exchange of technical and scientific information on the theory
and practice of mechanical-systems, mechanisms and robotics and seeks to
bring together researchers working in this area, report recent developments
in the field and stimulate new directions of research. The conference will
feature peer-reviewed paper submissions, tutorials and workshops, keynote
speakers and student mechanism and robot design competitions.
Topics-of-interest span areas central to design and control of
mechanical-systems including kinematics, dynamics, design, computation, and
software development, grouped under the following symposia:
1. Mechanism Analysis and Synthesis
2. Theoretical and Computational Kinematics
3. Robot Kinematics and Motion Planning
4. Robot/Machine Dynamics and Control
5. Compliant Mechanisms: Macro, Micro and Nano
6. Novel Mechanisms, Robots, and Applications
7. Cable Drive Systems & Tensegrity Systems
8. Biologically-Motivated Mechanisms and Robotics (Medical, Healthcare,
Biomimetic)
9. Review of Recent Mechanical System and Device Patents

Prospective authors are invited to visit the IDETC2010 Web portal (
http://www.asmeconferences.org/IDETC2010/) and direct their submission to an
appropriate symposium within the M&R Conference.
Publication Schedule (see conference web-portal for detailed and most
up-to-date publication schedule):

Submission of Full-Length Draft Papers January 29, 2010
Paper Reviews Completed March 19, 2010
Author Notification of Acceptance March 29, 2010
