The Symposium on Control and Modeling of Biomedical Systems will be held
on April 22-23, 2010 at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and
Technology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This two-day,
single-track symposium will expose academic, clinical, and industrial
researchers to key biomedical problems from the perspective of dynamic
system control and modeling in an effort to initiate collaborations and
investigate future research directions. Interactive session abstracts,
student travel grant applications, and registration are now being
accepted at: http://biomedsym.beckman.illinois.edu/

Technical Co-sponsors: IEEE Control Systems Society and ASME Dynamic
Systems and Control Division
Hosted by: The Beckman Institute and Coordinated Science Laboratory,
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

** Thanks to our sponsors, students are eligible for full reimbursement
of registration fees. Limited student travel grants are also available. **

Technical program will include the following sessions:
    * invited presentations by academic, clinical, and industrial
researchers,
    * an Interactive Session, where graduate students can present
posters/videos and biomedical companies can highlight control and
modeling technology used in their latest instruments and analyses,
    * and a panel session that includes clinical researchers to provide
their perspective on the translational potential of the discussed research.

Topics will include:
    * rehabilitation robotics,
    * brain machine interfaces,
    * motor neuroscience,
    * epidemiology,
    * drug delivery,
    * genetics,
    * medical imaging,
    * physiology.

Important dates:
    * Travel grant applications due (first review): February 22
    * Travel grant applications due (second review): March 22
    * Poster/Interactive session proposals due: March 22
    * Registration close: April 15
    * Scheduled activities: April 22-23
