HUMANOIDS 2010 - "Intelligent and Dependable Humanoid Robots"

Call for Papers
The 2010 IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots will be
held on December 6-8, 2010 at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel,
Nashville, TN, U.S.A.  The conference theme is "Intelligent and
Dependable Humanoid Robots," reflecting growing interests in
developing intelligent and dependable humanoid robots that can
interact with humans to improve quality of life.  Papers from academic
and industrial communities, and government agencies are solicited in
all areas of humanoid robotics.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Mechanism, design and control of humanoid robots
- Software, hardware, control and system architectures
- Robotics for human science (behavioral/psychological/cognitive/neural 
- Human-humanoid interaction
- Whole-body motion planning and control
- Humanoid robot manipulations
- Perception, action, and cognition for humanoid robots
- Skill learning and learning from/by demonstration
- Social robotics
- Androids
- Humanoid ethics, education, outreach, and applications

Contributed papers will be presented either at a single-track
oral-presentation session or at poster sessions.  All the contributed
papers will appear without distinction in the conference proceedings
as well as IEEE Xplore.

All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format by:

The maximum number of pages is limited to six, including figures.
A maximum of 2 additional pages will be permitted at an extra page
charge of USD 200 per page.  Detailed instructions for paper submissions
and format can be found on the conference website.
Authors of accepted papers are encouraged to provide a link to their
websites showing videos instead of embedding videos in their papers.

Proposals for half-day or full-day tutorials and workshops must be
submitted to the Tutorials/Workshops Chairs by June 11, 2010. Proposals
must include (1) Title, (2) Organizers with contact information, (3)
Objectives and Topics, (4) Scope of Coverage, and (5) List of
