Call For Paper :
IROS 2010 Workshop on Ubiquitous Networking Robotics: an approach for
Human-Robot Interaction

****************************************************************************

Dear colleagues,

The organizing committee of the IROS 2010 Workshop on Ubiquitous Networking
Robotics is pleased to invite your participation. The workshop will take
place in October 22, 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan, in conjunction with IROS 2010
(http://www.iros2010.org.tw).

This full day workshop is the eleventh in the series of workshops on
'network robot systems' with the IEEE-RAS Technical Committee on Networked
Robot. This time it is also connected with the activity of the Technical
Committee on Human-Robot Interaction & Coordination. It covers all aspects
of the use of network robot systems, such as ubiquitous robotics,
cooperative robotics, and networked environment sensing/actuation, and also
includes reports from several major research projects that are in progress
in urban areas in Japan and Europe. Reflecting this year's theme
"Advancement of New Frontiers for Providing Better Intelligent Robots
Services", one of the new frontiers of intelligent robots is our daily
environment, where human-robot interaction is a key feature of a robot
system; thus, we put special emphasis on human-robot interaction in the real
world, which is often enabled by the use of 'network robot systems'. Key
people from America, Europe and Asia will be invited to discuss the current
status of this new research area and future directions.

Submission
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format with
IROS conference format (please see
http://www.iros2010.org.tw/constructing.php?ns=19). Six camera ready pages
are allowed for each paper. Accepted full papers will be included in
IROS2010's CD-ROM proceedings for workshop papers, but not archived in the
digital library. Papers will be lightly reviewed based on fitness to the
topics of the workshop. In order to submit, please send papers by email to
kanda at atr.jp.

Important Dates
July 20, 2010: Paper submission due
August 2, 2010: Notification of acceptance
Ausugst 8, 2010: Camera ready due
