Dear colleague,

You are invited to take part in a usability study of an Augmented
Reality (AR) system for mobile robotics. In particular the study will
deal with Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) algorithms. You
have been selected for this study because of your general knowledge in
robotics and/or estimation algorithms. No prior SLAM or AR knowledge
is necessary to participate. Detailed explanations of SLAM concepts
and instructions will be provided in the test script.

The study will require approximately 30 minutes to complete, and is
done entirely online. You will need the capabilities to view and edit
a .doc file (e.g. OpenOffice), and to view short (~2Mb) online .ogv
video files. The video files can be either viewed within a compatible
web browser (e.g. firefox), or alternatively downloaded and viewed

For further details and instructions, please see the Participant
Information Sheet:

The test script can be downloaded here:

The results will be transcribed anonymously and in confidence as part
of the researcher's thesis and/or future publications. Participation
is completely voluntary. As the participants are asked to email the
questionnaire back to the researcher, anonymity cannot be preserved.
You are able to withdraw your data at any time up to two weeks from
the date of submission.

Thank you for taking the time to assist us with this research. For
