This is the Final Call for Papers to the International Symposium
on Learning and Adaptive Behavior in Robotic Systems (LAB-RS 2010)
to be held in Canterbury, UK on September 6-7, 2010. The
Symposium is the third in a series, with the first two being held in
Edinburgh, Scotland in 2008 and Iasi, Romania in 2009.

The paper submission deadline has been EXTENDED to June 1, 2010.

The website for LAB-RS 2010 is http://www.labrs.info/labrs10.html
where there is a link to a pdf version of the CFP.

This year's Symposium is being hosted by the University of Kent,
UK and is being held in coordination with the International Conference
on Emerging Security Technologies (EST-2010) and the International
Symposium on Robots and Security (ROBOSEC-2010).

Learning and adaptive behaviors are key to robotics system operation
in real world environments. While there have been important developments
at the theoretical level and in simulations or laboratory environments,
the transfer of these methods onto real-world platforms has been
limited.
This symposium aims to provide a forum for advancement of learning and
adaptation in robotics systems to high capability levels comparable
to those
of biological systems. It seeks reports on new concepts, laboratory
demonstrations,
and fielded robotic systems that exhibit learning and adaptive
behaviors.
The focus of the 2010 symposium is on the role of frameworks from
cognitive
robotics and embodied artificial intelligence in the development of
learning
and adaptation in robots.
