Dear robotics-worldwide member,

I am pleased to announce that the Issue 2/2010 of PALADYN. JOURNAL OF BEHAVIORAL ROBOTICS has just appeared online at http://www.springerlink.com/content/2080-9778 You are encouraged to read the articles published (1st issue - open access, 2nd issue - subscription) as well as to contribute to the following issues. For details, please see the call for papers attached.

Paladyn. Journal of Behavioral Robotics is a new, peer-reviewed, electronic-only journal that publishes the original high-quality research results on topics broadly related to biologically and psychologically inspired robots and other behavior-based autonomous systems. Full description of the journal, including its editorial board, is available at: http://www.versita.com/science/engineering/paladyn/

The aim of Paladyn is to become a premier source of knowledge and a worldwide-recognized platform of exchange for scientists of different disciplinary origins and backgrounds (e.g., engineers, computer scientists, physicists, neuroscientists, psychologists, sociologists) who are inspired by the analogy between robotic autonomy and human behavior. The journal publishes robotic research from a broad range of topics and approaches including cognitive robotics, developmental robotics, evolutionary robotics, artificial embodied agents, self-organizing robot swarms, robot learning and adaptation, human-robot interaction, and neuronally-inspired robot vision. However, we will accept both theoretical and empirical contributions in all subfields of robotics as long as they contribute in a broad sense to the core theme.
The papers accepted for publication in Paladyn are supposed to be original, written in English andreport on significant advances in their respective areas. The studies combining various perspectives and those on the boundaries of different fields are particularly encouraged. Both research and review articles, as well as communications are published.

- fast and constructive peer review,
- international range,
- convenient, web-based submission and manuscript tracking system - Editorial Manager,
- high-quality electronic publication technology,
- world-wide distribution through Springer,
- extensive promotion of each published article to researchers working in the same field,
- free language-correction services for non-English-speaking authors of accepted papers,
- no publication charge.

We look forward to your manuscripts!

Sincerely yours,
