10th Symposium on Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems (DARS), 2010
November 1-3, 2010
EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland
http://dars2010.epfl.ch

The goal of the Symposium on Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems is to exchange and stimulate research ideas to realize advanced distributed robotic systems. Distributed robotics is a rapidly growing, interdisciplinary research area lying at the intersection of computer science, communication and control systems, and electrical and mechanical engineering. Technologies, algorithms, system architectures, and applications will be presented and discussed during a single-track, 3-days symposium.
DARS 2010 will be an excellent 10th anniversary edition thanks to the high quality of the submissions and selective reviewing process. Moreover, a panel of outstanding invited speakers will cover the various areas of Distributed Autonomous Robotic Systems:
Prof. Radhika Nagpal, Harvard University, USA
Prof. Raffaello D’Andrea, ETH Zurich, Switzerland & Kiva Systems, USA
            Prof. Haruhisa Kurokawa, AIST, Japan
Prof. Gaurav S. Sukhatme, University of Southern California, USA
Invited talk for the Gala dinner:
Dario Floreano, EPFL
Director of the Swiss National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) in Robotics

This 10th edition will take place at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), in its idyllic location on the shores of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. With 107 nationalities represented on campus and more than 50% of our professors coming from abroad, the institution is one of the world's most cosmopolitan universities. This year EPFL has opened a very innovative building, the Rolex Learning Center, which hosts the libraries of the EPFL and a set of services for the students. This fascinating new building brings new standards to the interaction between people and architecture.
We hope you will be able to join us and enjoy a few days of sound research work, stimulating discussions, inspiring invited speakers, and a great social event in the Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, immersed in the beautiful fall colors, just at the end of the grape harvesting period.

Early registration deadline: September 24
Hotels at special rate until September 30
