FSR2012 is the 8th event in a series of successful conferences on Field
and Service Robotics. The aim is to provide a forum on robotics research
for field and service applications. Research papers describing the work
with both theoretical and practical significance are encouraged to
submit. Also encouraged are systems integration papers reporting the
performance evaluation in practical implementation and field testing.

CONFERENCE VENUE

The conference will be held at Hotel Taikanso, Matsushima, Japan. The
north-east region of Japan suffered large-scale earthquakes and tsunami
in March 2011, but the Matsushima area had very little damage, and is
already back to normal. A special program will be organized to feature
the robotics for disaster response, relief and recovery.
