Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the organizer, We invite you to submit a paper to The ICRA 2011
Workshop on Robotics Modular Architecture Design and Standardization
(http://www.rtage.com/mkh/ICRA2011/), May 13, 2011, Shanghai International
Conference Center, Shanghai, China.

Nowadays robotics industry is faced with the unprecedented developing chance
and the severe challenge. There is still lacking in unify standard
architecture and modular functional component in robotic industry in
worldwide. As with other successful technologies, in order to facilitate the
adoption of robots and robotic devices worldwide, modular design methods and
standardization architecture of key elements of robotics technology is
necessary.

This ICRA2011workshop will focus on the topic of robotics modular
architecture and design and standardization. Our aim is to discuss the trend
and strategy of modular design for future service robotics industry. The
modular architecture and design include the robotic functional components,
robotic middleware, robotic operation system and its standardization.

The following topics will be explored:

. Current status of standardization for service robot in China and
world

. Current status of modular design and architecture for robot system

. Research and development of key elements of robotics technology

. Robotic middleware, robotic operation system and its standardization

. Future direction of standardization development in service robot.
