[First Call for Papers]
5th European Conference on Mobile Robots, September 7-9. Örebro, Sweden.

The primary aim of ECMR is to establish a biannual European forum, internationally open, allowing researchers through Europe to become acquainted with the latest accomplishments and innovations in advanced mobile robotics and mobile human-robot systems. ECMR 2011 will be held in the city of Örebro, Sweden.

Most aspects of robotics research and machine intelligence are involved, including (but not limited to) the following topics: multi-sensor fusion, localization, map building, navigation, active perception, behaviour-based robotics, path and task planning, learning and adaptation, robot vision, human-robot interaction, cognitive robotics, experimental evaluation and benchmarking, 3D sensing, new applications for mobile robotics, etc.

ECMR will provide keynote sessions, a panel session and original presentations about research in progress and it will be organized in single track mode to favour discussions.

The keynote speeches of the ECMR'11 will be given by Prof. Markus Vincze from the Vienna University of Technology, Austria, and Prof. Per-Erik Forssén from Linköping University, Sweden.

Authors are invited to submit original contributions in English not exceeding 6 pages of the two column conference format. Further instructions and submission details are available at the conference website.

All papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the Program Committee. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, available upon arrival at the meeting. As in the past, it is planned to publish expanded and revised versions of selected papers in a special issue of an international journal.
