We are pleased to inform you that CLAWAR 2012 will be hosted by Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA during 23 – 26 July 2012.
The purpose of the 15th International Conference on Climbing and Walking Robots and the Support Technologies for Mobile Machines (CLAWAR2012) is to provide a venue where researchers, academics, scientists, engineers and practitioners throughout the world can come together to present and discuss the latest achievements, future challenges and exciting applications for mobile machines in general, and climbing and walking robots in particular.
Papers dealing with the fundamentals of mobile robotics in unstructured and dynamic environments and with applications to construction, forestry, agriculture, mining, sea surface, sub-marine, search and rescue, military, and space (orbital and planetary) are encouraged. The covered topics include sensing, sensors, mechanical design, computing architectures, communication, planning, learning, control, multi-robot cooperation. Contributions deriving inspiration from nature are particularly encouraged.

Please submit your proposals of special sessions to the conference secretariat (clawar2012 at niu.edu) with a copy to Prof Gurvinder Virk (Gurvinder.Virk at hig.se) by the indicated deadline. The proposal should be no more than an A4 page in length and is to include title, aims/objectives, brief outline/scope, name and affiliation of the organiser.
Submission of Papers:
All papers will be peer reviewed, and all accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
Organizations and research groups wishing to exhibit their robots and robotics research work at the conference are asked to contact the conference secretariat to discuss the necessary arrangements.
Organizations wishing to sponsor the conference in any way and gain the corresponding benefits by promoting themselves and their products to the robotics community through conference publications, conference web-site and conference publicity are encouraged to contact the conference secretariat to discuss the terms of sponsorship and necessary arrangements.
