37th Mechanisms and Robotics Conference (MR)
August 4–7, 2013, Portland, OR USA

We invite you to participate in the 37th Mechanisms and Robotics
International Conference (MR), to be held at the ASME 2013
International Design Engineering Technical Conferences (IDETC) and
Computers and Information in Engineering Conference (CIE). This
conference will take place during August 4-7, 2013 in Portland, OR,
and is the flagship international meeting for Design Engineering.

Sponsored by the Mechanisms and Robotics Technical Committee, an
integral part of the ASME Design Engineering Division, this annual
gathering as a series of 37 conferences since 1952 is a premier
international meeting in mechanisms, robotics and related fields. The
conference provides an international forum for the exchange of
technical and scientific information on the theory and practice of
mechanical systems and will feature tutorials and workshops, student
mechanism and robot design competitions, keynote and invited speakers,
and interactive presentation sessions. The conference is organized
into the following symposia:

MR-1 Mechanism Analysis and Synthesis
MR-2 Robot Kinematics and Motion Planning
MR-3 Robot/Machine Dynamics and Control
MR-4 Theoretical and Computational Kinematics (A.T. Yang Symposium)
MR-5 Compliant Mechanisms and Micro/Nano Mechanisms (A. Midha Symposium)
MR-6 Biologically Inspired and Health Motivated Mechanisms and Robotics
MR-7 Novel Mechanisms, Robots, and Applications
MR-8 Mobile Robots and Cable-Driven Systems
MR-9 Student Mechanisms and Robotics Design Competition
MR-10 Keynote/Awards
MR-11 Origami-Based Engineering Design
MR-12 International Research Exchanges in Micro-Manufacturing and Micro-Robotics

The conference will accept traditional full-length Technical
Publications submissions to be accompanied by a technical
presentation, and will be subject to peer-review. If accepted, the
papers will appear in the archival conference proceedings and must
follow ASME guidelines.
