Call for Tutorials and Workshops
36th ASME Mechanisms and Robotics International Conference

12-15 August 2012
Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Chicago, IL

Workshop/Tutorial Proposal Submission Deadline: 5 March 2012

The 36th ASME Mechanisms and Robotics International Conference is to be held as part of the 2012 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences and Computers and Information in Engineering Conference (DETC-CIE). The conference will take place in Chicago, IL, from August 12-15, 2012. Organized by the Mechanisms and Robotics Technical Committee, an integral part of the ASME Design Engineering Division, this annual gathering as a series of 36 conferences since 1952 is a premier international meeting in mechanisms, robotics and related fields.

The tutorials and workshops will take place on Sunday 12 August 2012 and are planned for either one 3 to 4-hour block or two 3 to 4-hour blocks. Please use the "sample" (word or PDF) Tutorial/Workshop proposal available at the conference website at

to create your proposal.

These tutorials and workshops provide a unique forum for the sharing of recent research results as well as networking with friends and colleagues. Industry participation is particularly encouraged so that the tutorials and workshops may provide opportunities for fruitful exchanges between the research and industrial communities.
