Welcome to the 2nd International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors 2012 (IRIS2012). The event will take place at a beautiful and exotic city of Kuching; the capital city of Sarawak, Malaysia. IRIS2012 is jointly organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, the Malaysian Robotics and Automation Interest Group (MYRAig), and Nagoya University, Japan. We are pleased to invite all potential academicians, scholars, researchers, scientists, engineers and students to submit their original and unpublished papers to IRIS2012. 
 
OBJECTIVES:
IRIS2012 is intended to provide technical forum and discussion related to robotics and sensors. The symposium is aimed to bring together researchers, academicians, scientists, students, engineers and practitioners to participate and present their latest findings, ideas, developments and applications related to the various aspects of robotics and sensors. IRIS2012 will feature interactive Technical Sessions, Special Sessions, Workshop and Exhibition. The programs include keynote addresses by eminent scientists as well as presentation by delegates from industries.

PAPER SUBMISSION
Manuscripts should be at most six (6) pages in IEEE two-column format and must be submitted in PDF format via EDAS. Please use the Microsoft Word template available at the conference website to prepare your manuscript. Accepted, peer-reviewed papers will be published in the conference proceedings, and submitted to IEEE Xplore. Authors of selected best papers will be invited to submit extended version of the papers for possible publication in selected journals. Papers presented in Special Session will be publish in both proceedings and journal.
