                        Harald Lowe, Dr., Apl. Professor, Technical
University of Braunschweig
                        ---Prof. Harald Lowe received his Diploma and PhD
degree in mathematics from the Technical University of Braunschweig. Since
his habilitation in 2001, he is working as a professor at the department of
Mathematics of the TU Braunschweig. Currently, he is concerned with
projects in mathematics with schools. His field of research is geometry and
its applications.

                        Gao Feng, PhD, Professor, Shanghai Jiao Tong
University
                        ---Prof.F. Gao received his Master’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering at Northeast Heavy Machinery Institute, China in
1982 and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Beijing University of
Aeronautics and Astronautics, China in 1991. He acted as vice president and
president of Hebei University of Technology, China from October, 1999 to
May, 2004. He is now a full professor of the School of Mechanical
Engineering and the director of the State Key Labotory of Mechanical System
and Vibration at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. His research
focuses on parallel robotics and applications, humanoid robots as well as
heavy-duty equipment design and control. He published more than 200 papers
on both domestic and international journals and conferences and has 50
inventions patented. He serves as Associate Editors of Journal of Mechanism
and Machine and ASME Journal of Mechanism and Robotics, deputy chair of
Mechanisms Committee-Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), senior
member of CMES, and members of ASME and ASME MR committee.

                        Zexiang Li, PhD, Professor, Hong Kong University of
Science and Technology
                        ---Prof. Zexiang Li received his BS degree in
electrical engineering and economics (with honours) from CMU, MA degree in
mathematics and PhD degree in electrical engineering and computer science
from UC Berkeley. He worked as a research scientist in the AI Laboratory of
MIT and as an assistant professor in the Robotics Lab of NYU before
returning to China. He is now a professor at the ECE Dept. of HKUST, and
the director of the Automation Technology Center.
