Workshop at Robotics Science and Systems. Open problems and challenges in aerial robotics,
Thursday 12/07/2012

Workshop web site:
http://users.cecs.anu.edu.au/~Robert.Mahony/Editorial_material/2012_RSS_workshop/2012_RSS_UAVworkshop.htm

Organised by:
Prof. Robert MAHONY, The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.
Prof. Peter CORKE, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.
Prof. Roland SIEGWART, ETH, Zurich, Switzerland.

The intent is to have a conversation rather than mini lectures. We'll have invited speakers summarising triumphs and challenges of aerial robotics in Europe, US and Australasia, and then highly interactive sessions to discuss what's next in topics such as perception, autonomy and physical interaction.

*** Contributions for the open interactive sessions are sought.

* Open problems in manoeuvrability and physical interaction for aerial vehicles
* Open problems in Perception for aerial vehicles
* Open problems in autonomy for aerial vehicles

The open Problem sessions will be a moderated discussion driven by attendees
both in person (and if possible virtually). Participants that have a point that they wish
discussed are encouraged to provide a single power point slide that will be
shown during the talk to provide them with a talking point to bring the topic
into the discussion.

We hope that the workshop will be broadcast on a public streaming
chanel along with a streamed chat chanel enabling people internationally to
contribute. People attending virtually can also particpate by contributing
slides.
