Field and Service Robotics
is a series of biennial conferences initiated in 1997, Canberra
Australia. It is a single track conference with specific focuses on
field and service applications of robotics technology, such as:

  * Mining, Agriculture and Forestry Robotics
  *  Construction Robots
  *  Search and Rescue Robotics
  * Cleaning, Floor and Lawn Care Robotics
  *  Security Robotics
  * Medical and Health Care Robotics
  *  Entertainment Robotics
  * Autonomous Vehicles for Land, Air and Sea
  *  Planetary Exploration Robots
  *  Intelligent Automobiles

The 8th FSR was originally planned to be held in 2011, but due to
large-scale earthquakes and tsunami in March 2011, it has been postponed
to 2012. The conference takes place in Tohoku University, Sendai and
Hotel Taikanso, Matsushima. The area had relatively minor damages and is
