Re: Third CFP TAROS 2012 “Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems”
UK's premier robotics conference TAROS 2012 (Towards Autonomous
Robotic Systems) will take place this year in Bristol, UK, on 20-22
August 2012. This year TAROS will be together with the FIRA
Robo-World Cup!! The call for papers is now available under
The proceedings will be published with Springer Verlag.
Two high profile speakers have confirmed their attendance, Prof.
Sam S Ge, National University of Singapore, Professor Alois Knoll,
Technical University Munich.
The honorary chair is Professor Frank L Lewis, University of Texas,
author of seminal books & papers in control & robotics.
TAROS 2012 invites both full papers and extended abstracts. All
contributions will be refereed. Full papers are invited from
researchers at any stage in their career but should present
significant findings and advances in robotics research; more
preliminary work would be better suited to extended abstract
submission. Full papers will be accepted for either oral
presentation (single track) or poster presentation. Extended
abstracts will be accepted for poster presentation only.
INDUSTRIAL PARTICIPATION: The participation of representatives from
industry are welcome both in the main conference and particularly

Significant Science and Engineering organizations sponsor the event,
the IET, the IMECHE, the ONR(G). Moreover, official side initiatives
of the London Olympics, Team South West, Relays, sponsor the event.
The IEEE UK&RI Robotics & Automation Chapter supports the event.
The submission deadline is 8 April 2012.
If you wish to organize a team to take part in the FIRA-RoboWorld
