                                 CALL FOR PAPERS

The 3rd IFAC Symposium on Telematics Applications (TA 2013)
                       at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea
                            November 11-13, 2013

Organizer: IFAC TC 3.3 Telematics: Control via Communication Networks

http://ta2013.yonsei.ac.kr <http://ta2013.yonsei.ac.kr/>

Background:

Telematic applications benefit from the tremendously increasing
capabilities in modern telecommunication and information processing
technologies to provide robotic services at remote locations.

This Symposium considers all aspects of communication-based automatic
control and vehicular network systems. Thus advanced methods related to:

   - Control technologies (remote control, networked control,
     supervisory control, distributed control)
   - Communication technology (wireless communication for autonomous
     systems, vehicles and robotics)
   - Information processing (distributed information systems, embedded
     systems, augmented reality, security aspects)
   - Applications (tele-robotics, tele-maintenance, space exploration,
smart homes, networked cooperating robots, traffic control)

are within the scope of the Symposium.

Topics of Interest:
The symposium areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

(Control Systems)
Robotic networks
Cloud robotics
Tele-operations
Smart and connected cars
Traffic control systems
Telematic methods

(Communication Networks)
Control of networks
Optimization
Mathematics of networked systems
Control through networks
Mobile sensor networks with low energy
Remote sensor data acquisition
Machine to machine communications

Submission Guidelines:
Prospective authors are invited to submit contributions for regular
sessions electronically through the symposium website (Submission site
will be open in March, 2013). All submitted contributions must be
written in English and comply with the IFAC format, of which details
will be in the instructions on the website. Submissions should be made
in PDF format, and are limited to 6 pages. The authors interested in
presenting rapid or industrial resultswith short papers (2 pages),
please contact: etkim at yonsei.ac.kr
<mailto:etkim at yonsei.ac.kr> (control systems)
or ks.kim at yonsei.ac.kr <mailto:ks.kim at yonsei.ac.kr> (communication
networks).

Invited Session Guidelines:
Prospective organizers of invited sessions are invited to submit a set
of the minimum 3 invited papers with a well-defined cohesive focus on a
topic relevant to the symposium.
Invited sessions may start with a tutorial presentation. Contributions
in invited session proposals can be extended abstracts of at least 2000
words showing the principal contribution of the paper so as to allow for
an informed peer review. Please contact
slkim at yonsei.ac.kr <mailto:slkim at yonsei.ac.kr>, for more details.
