The 2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2013) will be held on May 6-10, 2013 in Germany, in Karlsruhe, the city in which Heinrich Hertz discovered the electromagnetic waves in 1888 and which gave birth in 1844 to Karl Benz – the inventor of the gasoline-powered automobile – and in 1785 to Karl von Drais – inventor of the first bicycle-like vehicle called “Walking Machine” or “Draisine”.

The ICRA 2013 edition will last for five days, featuring two days technical workshops and tutorials, and three days for technical presentations including six plenary speeches, a large industrial exhibition, Science Forum, Industrial Forum and Citizens Forum as well as technical and non-technical tours and attractive social events.
