  RSS 2013: ½-day Workshop on
Robot Design and Control: Advanced Robot Motion

June 27 (Thursday) – Afternoon Session

Interesting robots make for interesting control and interesting systems.
Fast, compliant systems are central to robots that can interact with the
world naturally in the way we do. Design and control are integral for
such dynamic robotic systems. This workshop is a forum for both experts
and new comers alike. Our aim is to spark discussion of the issues and
complicating factors affecting hardware design, motion planning,
optimization, and engineering methods in this field.

Towards this, the workshop will introduce an “idea thunderdome” – an
open, interactive, and potentially free-wheeling session on the design
and control of agile robots.

** Contributions – Short Abstracts and Videos: **
Extended abstracts (up to 2 pages) and posters (up to 2 slides) are
invited for presentation.
Interesting positive _and negative_ examples are welcome. Yes, failure
cases are okay!

Please send abstracts/pictures/video for participation (and/or a series
of well explained results) that highlights recent work and/or
implementation features.
