IEEE Robotics and Automation (IEEE-RAS) Malaysia Chapter, in collaboration with the Center for Humanoid Robots and Bio-Sensing (HuRoBs), is proud to announce the 3rd 2013 International Symposium on Medical and Rehabilitation Robotics and Instrumentation (MRRI2013) and 2nd International Robot PRIDE Competition 2013 (PRIDE2013) that will take place at Shah Alam, Malaysia from 2nd to 4th December 2013.

MRRI2013 intend to highlights the latest results from leading research labs, universities and clinics in the field of medical and rehabilitation robotics and its related technology. A special focus is on clinical evaluation and promotion of interaction between engineers, clinicians and therapists. The conference also includes patient and caregiver testimonials as well as sessions about standardization of technology, technology transfer, and assessment tools.
MRRI2013 welcomes submission of high quality papers within the areas stated in the conference scope. Accepted papers will be published in Journal Procedia Engineering by Elsevier that will appear in Sciverse ScienceDirect database after the conference, and are normally included in SCOPUS, Elsevier’s online abstract and citation database covering over 16,000 scientific periodicals from many different publishers. Extended version of selected best papers will be consider for publication in selected journals. MRRI2013 will organize a workshop on the first day of the conference focusing on recent technology to assist autism therapy. Among invited keynote speakers:Prof. Emilia I.
