Poznan University of Technology in cooperation with CLAWAR Association
are preparing 2nd International Workshop on Perception for Mobile Robots
ANNOUNCEMENT AND FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS PEMRA 2014
2nd International Workshop on Perception for Mobile Robots Autonomy
19th July 2014, Poznan, Poland
The workshop will provide a venue where researchers, academics,
scientists and engineers throughout the world can gather to present and
discuss the latest achievements, future challenges, and exciting
applications of perception systems for mobile robots in general, and
climbing and walking robots in particular.
PEMRA encourages papers dealing with the fundamentals of mobile robotics
in unstructured and dynamic environments. The workshop covers topics in
sensing, computational architecture, communication, planning, learning,
control, and multi-robot cooperation. Contributions deriving inspiration
from nature are particularly encouraged.
Two types of contributions are welcomed: Full & Short papers.
Full papers (8 pages) accepted and due presented at the workshop will be
recommended for publication in special issue of Journal of Automation,
Mobile Robotics & Intelligent Systems (JAMRIS).
Short papers will give an opportunity to present recent and on-going
research. They should briefly introduce the problem, present motivation
for the research, scientific methodology being used, and provide
exemplary results. The page limit is 6 pages, including illustrations,
tables, and references. Selected short papers would be considered for
the publication in Journal of Automation, Mobile Robotics & Intelligent
All accepted papers will be included in the CD-ROM proceedings, being
distributed to the participants of the workshop.
The PEMRA 2012 technical program will boast a single track. The track
will accommodate peer-reviewed articles, comprising regular sessions,
dealing with theoretical, experimental, and application-oriented work.
The workshop will also include dynamic keynote lectures from
internationally recognized experts. The workshop will further feature
tour of research laboratories.
