Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate in the Workshop
"*Human vs Robot grasp and manipulation: How can we close the gap?*"
on July 12th at the RSS conference in Berkeley, USA.

The workshop will bring together researchers working on the human and robot side of grasping to identify novel directions and emphases in robotics grasping/manipulation research. There's a great line-up of speakers:

Hands:*Francisco Valero-Cuevas* (USC) and*Aaron Dollar* (Yale)
Grasping and manipulation:*Marco Santello* (ASU) and*Oliver Brock* (TU Berlin, presenting a talk co-authored with Antonio Bicchi (U. Pisa))
Perception for grasping/manipulation:*Michael Arbib* (USC) and*Justus Piater* (U. Innsbruck)

Besides the presentations, there will be moderated discussions on "the right hardware", "effective grasp planning" and "appropriate perception", a panel discussion with all the invited speakers, and a poster session showing recent achievements in the field.

We look forward to see you in Berkeley!

On behalf of the organizers,
Clemens Eppner
