About ARSO 2014
------------------------------
The 2014 IEEE International Workshop on Advanced Robotics and its Social
Impacts (ARSO2014) will be held on September 11-13, 2014 in Evanston,
Illinois, USA. ARSO is a single track workshop, aiming to provide
world-class researchers, engineers, investors, economists, and
representatives of industry and government with a forum to discuss
cutting-edge robotics technologies, business opportunities, and other
impacts on human society. Topics range from psychological and
philosophical aspects over interaction and communication to technological
systems and architectures. Applications of robots are highly encouraged,
including, but not limited to, manufacturing, healthcare, service and
assistance, rescue, entertainment, and education. The workshop will be
held in conjunction with

- IMTS 2014 (International Manufacturing Technology Show 2014) and
- IROS 2014 (International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems),

both of which will take place in downtown Chicago, about one hour away
from Evanston by subway or half an hour by car.
