CALL FOR PAPERS

ROSE 2014 will take place at the Politehnica University of Timisoara,
one of the most prominent universities in Romania. Established in 1920
by Royal Decree of King Ferdinand I, it has a long and rich tradition as
a Romanian pole of excellence in academic education and research. With
its ten faculties, four independent departments and over 1700 teaching
and administrative staff, it provides top level support for more than
15000 students. Timisoara is easily accessible via the Traian Vuia
International Airport, which is connected to several major european
hubs. It can also be reached by train with daily international
connections from Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria.

The focus of the ROSE conference series is on sensing systems
and technologies for robotics and industrial automation, as well
as their impact on autonomous robotics and intelligent systems
development and applications.

Papers are solicited on all aspects of Sensing Systems and
Technologies for Robotics and Industrial Automation, Human-Robot
Cooperation, Multimodal Sensing, and Perception Technologies.
These include but are not limited to: sensor controlled systems;
collaborative manufacturing; inspection and quality control; human
and robot interaction; cognitive robotics; tele-operation;
robotic manipulation; mobile robots; rescue robots; swarm robotics;
robot sensors and vision; intelligent sensing; machine vision and
image processing; 3D sensing and modeling; sensor fusion; new sensor
technologies; distributed sensing for intelligent robotic systems.

Submit your full-length paper (maximum 6 pages) electronically
as a PDF-format file using the web submission form available
at: http://rose2014.ieee-ims.org

All published papers will appear in IEEE ROSE 2014 Proceedings
and will be included in IEEE Xplore and indexed in EI Compendex.
Recent editions of ROSE Proceedings have also been indexed in
Thomson Reuters Web of Science (WOS/WOK).

ROSE 2014 is sponsored by the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement
Society, and organized by the following technical committees:
       TC-15 Virtual Systems Measurements
       TC-22 Intelligent Measurement Systems
       TC-27 Human-Computer Interface and Interaction
