2014 International Workshop on Wearable Robotics

Baiona, (Spain)

September 14-19

Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 2014 International Workshop on
Wearable Robotics (WeRob2014) that will take place in Baiona (Spain) from
September 14 to 19 of 2014.

We would like to inform you that *the submission deadline for contributions
has been extended to May 15**.* Extended abstracts (2 pages) contributions
are welcome. All contributions will be peer reviewed and accepted
contributions will appear in the Conference Proceedings.

WeRob2014 is organised by the Bioengineering Group at the Spanish National
Research Council (CSIC), the Cullen College of Engineering at the
University of Houston, the Tecnológico de Monterrey, and the University of
Twente. International speakers from academia, government, industry, medical
centers, and end users will discuss challenges and potential solutions
leading to the development of wearable robotics technologies supporting
advanced therapeutic interventions in major neurological diseases (e.g.
Cerebrovascular Accidents, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury,
Cerebral Palsy).

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Baiona September 2014!

Baiona, both a tourist destination and an active fishing port, is located
in the south of the Rias Baixas region, and is protected from the open sea
by a breathtakingly beautiful bay. Its geographical location offers
natural, unsurpassable protection for fishing and leisure sailing vessels
alike. The climate is characterized by mild temperatures throughout the
year. The town's old quarter was declared an "Area of Historical and
Artistic interest" by the Galician Regional Government on March 1, 1993, to
mark the five hundredth anniversary of the arrival of The Pinta, a
caravel-type vessel used by Christopher Columbus, which arrived in Baiona
with news of the discovery of America
