Hello Julie,

I was going to submit an abstract but found that the submission website has already been closed. Is there any way that I can still submit? Thank you.

*RSS Workshop on Human-Robot Collaboration for Industrial Manufacturing *

July 12, 2014, Berkeley, CA, USA

Held in conjunction with Robotics, Science, and Systems (RSS) 2014

Recent improvements in advanced robotic technology are opening up the
possibility of removing the cage around industrial robots and facilitate
one-to-one collaboration between human workers and their robotic
counterparts However, developing robotic systems that can serve as
effective teammates remains a challenge in both academia and industry. The
goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers and industry
practitioners to forge interdisciplinary collaborations that translate
academic advancements into real systems.

This workshop will consist of invited talks from both Stefan Bartscher of
BMW and Aude Billard of EPFL, submitted paper presentations, a poster
session, and an open-topics panel with invited representatives from
industry and academia. To learn more about how to participate, visit

*Topics of interest:*

· Manufacturing safety

· Assembly and automation systems

· Skill acquisition and assistance

· Cooperative assembly in manufacturing

· Team formation

· Task planning

· Integrating collaborative robots

· Human-robot coordination

· Assistive robotics

· Flexible assembly

· Adoption of automated systems

· Multi-modal communication in HRI

· SLAM for dynamic environments

· Computer vision for robots tracking people and objects

*Submission details:*

We welcome submissions from both industry and academia in the form of both
white papers and research articles. Submissions should be 2-6 pages in the
RSS format. Authors of the best papers have an opportunity to give a formal
presentation during the workshop. Authors of all accepted papers will also
present their work at our interactive poster session during the workshop.
Submission details will be made available on the website.
