ECHORD++ Market Consultation Days for Pre-Commercial Procurement Pilots in Urban Robotics and Healthcare

The panelists of ECHORD ++ have selected two challenges for the Pre-Commercial
Procurement Pilots (PCP Pilots) out of 32 submissions. “Robotized
Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment” is the challenge for the scenario
healthcare, whereas “Robots for the inspection and the clearance of the sewer
network in cities” is the one for urban robotics. AQuAS – Agència de Qualitat
i Avaluació Sanitàries de Catalunya, a public entity of the Catalan Department
of Health, and Fundació Privada Sant Antoni Abat, a non-profit private
foundation managing and developing innovation and research in healthcare, have
defined the healthcare challenge. For urban robotics the panelist chose the
challenge of the Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Cicle de l'Aigua, the
water supplier of Barcelona. These challenges resemble specific requirements
of the public bodies for robotic products that are not yet available on the
market.

On 15th January 2015 ECHORD++ will open a call for tenders for the PCP Pilots.
If you are interested in participating in the call, we offer you the
opportunity to attend two market consultation days. One regarding the
challenge on urban robotics with the Barcelona City Council and Barcelona
Cicle de l'Aigua on 20th November 2014 in Barcelona and one regarding the
challenge on healthcare with AQuAS and Fundació Privada Sant Antoni Abat in
Munich on 3rd December 2014. The former will be integrated in the smart city
expo world congress, taking place from 18th – 20th November 2014.

Project ECHORD++
The aim of ECHORD++ is to strengthen the knowledge transfer between scientific
research and industry in robotics and to stimulate their cooperation.
ECHORD++ is a joint project of Technische Universität München (project
coordinator), Blue Ocean Robotics, Bristol Robotics Laboratory, Commissariat à
lÉnergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives, R.U. Robots, Scuola Superiore
Sant’Anna and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
