We are pleased to announce a workshop on "Cutaneous Feedback for Teleoperation in Medical Robotics"
http://sirslab.diism.unisi.it/whc15-cutaneous-in-medicine/

This half-day workshop will take place in the morning on Monday, June 22, during the 2015 IEEE World Haptics Conference in Chicago, USA. Workshop registration is free for students attending the conference and $100 for non-students. Early-bird registration is available until May 6.

This workshop aims to bring together researchers from haptics and surgical robotics to discuss current research and future directions in the effort to bring haptics into the operating room. We are particularly interested in cutaneous feedback because delivering ungrounded haptic cues to the surgeon’s skin conveys rich information and does not affect the stability and the safety of the teleoperation system.
