Dear Colleges and Friends,

With an overwhelming support, we have a large number of submissions. Still
with a high number of requests from authors for permitting more time to
finalize and finish papers, we decided to extend the submission till Sunday
15 February 2015.

With the development of science and technology and with space exploration,
hazardous environment work, and production requirements of small batch and
quick change-over, the traditional concept of mechanisms and robots
development is facing a challenge in the 21st century to adaptability and
reconfigurability.
The Third ASME/IFToMM International Conference on Reconfigurable Mechanisms
and Robots is to follow on the success of the First and Second ASME/IEEE
International Conference on Reconfigurable Mechanisms and Robots(ReMAR2009
and ReMAR2012). The conference is to provide an international forum for
presenting and discussing new mechanisms and robots emerged in the past
years with topologically adaptable mechanisms or robots and for discussing
their uses in domestic, outer space and manufacturing environments. The
main areas of this conference include the following subjects:

• Reconfigurable Mechanisms
• Reconfigurable Robots
• Mechanisms for Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems
• Variable Topology Modelling
• Kinematics & Dynamics of Reconfiguration
• Metamorphic Mechanisms
• Metamorphic Robots
• Origami-Inspired Mechanisms
• Bio-reconfiguration Engineering
• Biological Self-Assembly Mechanisms
• Modular Components and Devices
• Disassembly-Free Reconfigurable Mechanisms and Robots
• Application of Reconfigurable Systems

Authors are requested to submit a full-length paper. Abstract-only papers
are not acceptable. The length of a submitted paper should not exceed 10
pages and should be formatted in the proper publication style (Word and
Latex templates are available on the conference website
remar2015.buaa.edu.cn). Submitted manuscripts should be original work and
not concurrently submitted to any other forum. Submitted papers will be
reviewed by members of the Programme Committee and selected external
reviewers. All accepted papers will be included in conference proceedings
(published by Springer, *EI*) and selected papers will be further reviewed
and published in special issues of leading international journals (*SCI*).
