We apologize in advance if you receive multiple copies of this CFP.
Deadline: Mar 1, 2015
2015 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems -http://www.iros2015.org

Innovative Session on “Wearable Robotics for Motion Assistance and Rehabilitation”

Session website:https://sites.google.com/site/innovativewrsession/

General Scope:
Technological advances and the emergence of novel adapted technologies
such as wearable and ubiquitous technologies with considerable reduction
in size, cost and energy consumption, are becoming a privileged solution to
provide assistive services to humans. This challenging technology is expected
to work closely, interact and collaborate with people in an intelligent environment.
While initially conceived for human motion augmentation purposes, wearable
powered robots have been gradually proposed as a technological aid for motion
rehabilitation and assistance, and functional substitution in patients suffering from
motor disorders.
This innovative session aims at contributing to the discussion on the state of the
art and the future trends in the use of wearable robotics for motion assistance and
rehabilitation. Technologies related to this area, achievements, challenges and
open questions would be presented, including the topics (not limited):

- Neuro-interfaces for Prosthetic Devices
- Exoskeletons, actuated orthosis and prostheses
- EMG Signal Processing and Applications for Wearable Robots
- Neurological Disorders and Rehabilitation through Wearable robots
- Mechatronic design of Wearable robots and control of human movements
- Cognitive/physical interaction paradigms for wearable robotics.

Authors of the papers submitted to the innovative sessions on "Wearable Robotics for Motion
Assistance and Rehabilitation" MUST select the keyword "Wearable Robots" into IROS keyword
list during the submission process. The papers will undergo the same strict review process like all
other IROS 2015 papers. All accepted papers will be included in the IEEE/RSJ IROS'15 proceedings.

Important information:
Please be sure to include the "Wearable Robots" keyword during the submission procedure,
otherwise the paper will not be considered in this session.

Important Dates:
Submission of full-length papers: March 1, 2015
Notification of acceptance for papers: June 30, 2015
Submission of final papers: July 30, 2015
