We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Oxford University Mobile Robotics Group at the Department of Engineering Science. The post is funded by EPSRC and is fixed-term for 3 years in the first instance (mrg.robots.ox.ac.uk).
You will be a key and senior member of a large fast moving research group driven to research all aspects of land based mobile autonomy. You will have a keen interest in building complete field robotics systems (like driverless cars and autonomous pods) and addressing the research problems that stem from trying to operate them for long periods of time in changing conditions.
You should possess a doctorate (or near completion) in robotics or computer science and be a superb programmer and communicator. You should have experience in machine vision, field robotics and systems building.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Paul Newman using the email address below.

The department holds an Athena Swan Bronze award, highlighting its commitment to promoting women in science, engineering and technology.
