Welcome to the 2015 IEEE RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots on
November 3 - 5, 2015, KIST, Seoul, Korea

We invite you to plan ahead and consider submitting your paper or video to
the 15th IEEE RAS Humanoids Conference, to be held in Seoul, Korea on
November 3 - 5, 2015. The conference theme will be "Humanoids in the New
Media Age." Robots are already beginning to function in shared spaces with
humans, in roles that are increasingly more social and personal. The
proliferation of new media such as mobile devices, wireless technologies,
and cloud computing, has the potential to fundamentally change the way in
which robots acquire information and make decisions, and also how robots
will interact with humans and other robots. In addition to work that
addresses the current research challenges facing humanoid robotics, we
invite you to submit work that debates both the opportunities and challenges
afforded by this revolution in new media. Humanoids 2015 is expected to
continue the trend of preceding versions and attract an increasingly larger
and wider segment of the robotics community. It will be an excellent
opportunity for exhibitors and sponsors to reach robotics researchers from
throughout the world.

are available on the website.

Call for Workshops and Tutorials

Proposals for half-day or full day workshops and tutorials, to be held on
November 3rd, are also being accepted. Proposal 200 words abstract within
the conference scope. W/T chairs will screen the submitted proposals and
notify an approval to a submitter. Guidelines for proposal submission are
available on the conference website.

Call for Exhibition and Sponsorship

In addition to paper and video sessions, Humanoids 2015 will also host a
3-day exhibition, industry session, and a robot performance show intended
for both participants and the general public.

Special Event: Demonstration of the DARPA Robotics Challenge

Winning teams from the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) will be invited to
perform at IEEE RAS Humanoids 2015 at KIST, Seoul, Korea on November 3,
2015. We will have winners demonstrate their DRC performance at the
conference and they will be available for open talks and questions on the
same day. You will see how the most dexterous humanoid robots in the world
will soon play an important role in responding to natural and man-made
disasters. Students, teachers and parents are all welcome to attend this
special event.
