At TUM's Department of
Informatics, chair of Robotics and Embedded Systems (Prof. Knoll), we
are looking at the earliest date possible for a Senior Researcher /
Post-Doc in Robotics / Computer Vision (full time).

Key
responsibilities:
* Scientific Management of third party funded
projects
* Coordination of development processes of international
software projects
* Carrying out research activities in the field of
collaborative robots in a Human Robot Interaction (HRI) scenario
*
Supervision of Ph.D. candidates
* Active involvement in the set-up of
the TUM robotics Centre of Competence
* Active involvement in proposal
management (i.e. highlighting potential opportunities, helping to form
consortia and assistance in proposal writing)

Requirements:
* Ph.D. or
similar experience in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a
related field
* Expertise in complex robotics/computer vision systems
*
Experience in developing robotics software, e.g. 3D SLAM, object
recognition/manipulation, motion planning, sensor fusion, machine
learning, environment modelling or similar
* Managerial experience
*
Proficiency in C++ and Java, experience with GPU programming is a plus
*
Fluency in spoken and written English, German is a plus
* Willingness to
travel
* High motivation and willingness to work in an international and
interdisciplinary team
* Established network in the European robotics
community, industry and trade associations is a plus
