Dear colleagues,

The School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering, Ira A. Fulton 
Schools of Engineering, Arizona State University, is pleased to host the 
5th ASU Rehabilitation Robotics Workshop in Tempe, AZ on February 6th 
and 7th, 2017. This two-day event focuses on rehabilitation robotics and 
includes three plenary talks, single-track sessions, poster sessions, as 
well as an industry and clinical discussion panel, company 
demonstrations and laboratory tours.

We are excited to announce 15 speakers from top research institutions 
working in the areas of neuroscience (motor control), physical 
rehabilitation, rehabilitation robotics, and robotics (software, 
hardware, etc.) have been confirmed. Among these are three plenary 
speakers: Dr. Neville Hogan (MIT), Dr. Randolph Nudo (University of 
Kansas) and Dr. Dario Farina (Imperial College London).

The main theme of the workshop is rehabilitation robotics, however a 
wider range of topics related to the multidisciplinary field of 
robotics, including human-robot interaction and human motor control will 
be covered. Based on the success of the previous four workshops, we 
expect the number of attendees to exceed 200. The workshop provides a 
unique opportunity for faculty, students, industry and the general 
public to come together and learn about the latest advances in 
rehabilitation robotics.

The workshop will include an industry and clinical panel comprised of 
representatives from the robotics industry and clinicians who will 
discuss current needs and future directions of human-robot interactive 
and rehabilitation systems from both the clinical and industrial point 
of view.

Everyone is welcome to attend the workshop and registration is free of 
charge. Space is limited so we do require that all attendees register in
