You are cordially invited to join us at IEEE ICARM 2016 in Macau to have this unique experience. The objective of ICARM 2016 is to provide an international forum that brings together researchers, educators, engineers, and government officials involved in the general areas of mechatronics, robotics, automation and sensors to disseminate their latest research results and exchange views on the future research directions of these fields.

The topics of interest for papers, tutorials, workshops and special sessions include, but not limited to the following:

l  Intelligent mechatronics, automation, control systems

l  Bionic robotics, autonomous and evolutionary robotics

l  Modelling of human sensory and motor systems

l  Bionic robot navigation, task and motion planning

l  Locomotion and manipulation in biological and robot systems

l  Teleoperation, telerobotics, haptics, and semi-autonomous systems

l  Robotic systems modeling, optimization, simulation and experiments

l  Control system modeling and simulation techniques and methodologies

l  AI, intelligent control, neuro-control, fuzzy control and their applications

l  Industrial automation, process control, manufacturing process

l  Rehabilitation robot system, neuro-robotics, wearable robots


All papers must be submitted in PDF format prepared strictly following the IEEE PDF Requirements. The standard number of pages is 6 and the maximum page limit is 8 pages with extra payment for the two extra pages. Papers will be peer-reviewed and we emphasize that papers must make an interesting, relevant, and novel contribution (whether theoretical or empirical) to the state of the art. All papers accepted by IEEE ICARM 2016 will be indexed by EI and included in IEEE Xplore. Extensions of selected papers will be published in a regular or a special issue of the journals of Science China: Information Science, and IEEE Trans. System, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, and Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Authors can also declare their intention for the best paper awards when they submit their papers. IEEE ARM 2016 presents several awards to honor researchers with outstanding contributions within the scopes of the congress.


The 2016 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics (ICARM 2016) will take place in Macau, China from August 18 to 20, 2016. Macau is just across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong, and its giant casinos and extravagant malls have earned it the nickname as "Las Vegas of Asia." It will not only provide the attendees with a great venue for this event, but also an unparallel experience in a mixed culture of Portuguese and Chinese.
