Dear colleagues,

On behalf of all the organizers, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 5th Israeli Conference on Robotics (ICR'2016) and the 16th Israeli Symposium on Computer-Aided Surgery, Medical Robotics, And Medical Imaging (ISRACAS'2016) that will take place in Herzliya, Israel, April 13-14, 2016.

ICR is the leading robotics conference and exhibition in Israel, dedicated to strengthening Israel's position as a world leader in high-end robotics. The theme for ICR2016 is "Innovation meets Robotics in Israel," which echoes the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the Israeli high-tech industry.

Israel possesses a unique ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. Together with its wide range of sophisticated high-tech industries, Israel is ready to lead the robotics revolution to new highs.

ICR2016 will host ISRACAS’ 2016, the 16th Israeli Symposium on Computer-Aided Surgery, Medical Robotics, and Medical Imaging. It is Endorsed by the International Society of Computer Aided Surgery, Israeli Society for Medical and Biological Engineering, Israel Life Science Industry, IEEE Israel Section. The goal of the Symposium is to convene in Israel clinicians, scientists, and engineers actively interested in medical imaging, computer science, and robotics, and their application to the planning, monitoring, and execution of medical surgeries.

The scientific program includes plenary talks by internationally recognized speakers, presentations of contributed and invited talks in several technical tracks, an entrepreneurs forum, an industry forum, and special sessions on the Israeli Robotics Initiatives and on Opportunities in Global Markets. The format of the conference will allow for networking and for business meetings.

A large robotics exhibition during the two days of the conference will showcase local and international developers of robotics and related products. A Startup Pavilion will showcase robotics start-up companies and entrepreneurs, seeking partnerships and investments.

ICR2016 offers a unique opportunity to explore new business opportunities, and exploit the synergy between academia and industry. Join us to get a first-hand account of the technologies that power the robotics revolution and meet the developers who drive Israel’s innovation spirit.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in ICR'2016 and in ISRACAS'2016!
