Bio-inspired Social Robot Learning in Home Scenarios at IEEE/RSJ

This workshop explores the following question: "How well prepared are
learning robots to be social actors in daily-life home environments in
the near future?". This workshop is therefore not only an opportunity to
address this focus on the latest scientific contributions on
bio-inspired learning social robotics, but also links this with the
presence of robots in people daily-life environment. Thus, the main goal
of this workshop is offering a common space for roboticists from
different fields of expertise to discuss the current state-of-the-art of
learning methods in robotics specially applied to home scenarios and
recent developments in assistive robots.

14:00-14:15: Welcome and opening.
14:15-14:45: Jun Tani - Predictive coding to account for cognitive minds
of robots.
14:45-15:15: Emre Ugur - Bootstrapping symbolic and social learning
through affordances.
15:15-15:30: Spotlight talks.
15:30-16:00: Poster session and coffee break.
16:00-16:30: Stefan Wermter - Crossmodal neural learning for domestic
robotic systems.
16:30-17:00: Angelo Cangelosi - Trust in human robot interaction via
embodiment.
17:00-17:30: Giulio Sandini - Understanding humans beyond real-time.
17:30-18:00: Yukie Nagai - From cognition to social interaction based on
predictive learning.
18:00-18:20: Final discussion and closure.
