Computing tools like Robotic Operating System (ROS) are fostering application developers by offering them an easy to use platform for coding and interacting with Robots. One of the challenging goals in robotics is to build intelligent robots, which can interact and collaborate with humans more naturally to perform a large variety of tasks and to characterize those robots in Design Engineering Automation/KBE systems to enable rapid design of products. In fact, such intelligent robots are crucial for the successful implementation of Factory of the future or Industry 4.0. Traditional approaches to achieve this goal are limited by the predefined set of alternatives for interactions and collaborations. Semantic Computing has the potential to play a significant role in improving this situation. This workshop will gather people from industry and academia to create an opportunity to discuss how Semantic Computing can be effectively applied for smart operation and application of robots.

All interested authors are invited to submit a paper up to 6 pages (all included) in English in double-column IEEE format following the submission guidelines available at the ICSC 2017 website.
Papers must be original and not be submitted to or accepted by any other conference or journal. Only electronic submission in PDF format will be accepted for review.
