George Mason University, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the Volgenau School of Engineering, invites application for a PhD position in the general area of robotics and control in Fall 2016. Fully financial supports (RA or TA) will be provided.

Specific areas of research include: Bio-inspired Robots, Nonlinear Estimation & Control, Collective Control, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, and Mechatronics. Candidates with a demonstrated track record in one or more of the above area(s) will be preferred. Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and micro-controllers is desired.

The main campus of George Mason University is located in the City of Fairfax, Virginia, approximately 15 miles (24 km) west of Washington, DC. Mason is ranked among the highest research institutions by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.
