The Faboratory at the Yale School of Engineering and Applied Science invites applications for two immediate postdoctoral fellow openings in soft-bodied control and morphing/reconfigurable soft robotic systems. Applicants should have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and a proven track record of high quality publications. Successful candidates will work within a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative team towards real-world demonstrations and applications of soft robots. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in robot prototyping, component integration, and implementation of control strategies. Candidates from other backgrounds that are highly motivated to learn in these areas will also be strongly considered.
