The Melbourne Robotics Laboratory at the University of Melbourne is looking to recruit one high calibre PhD student in the topic of Rehabilitation Robotics. Specifically, the candidate will work on the newly developed EMU Spatial End-effector based Upper Limb Rehab Robot, to develop various manipulation strategies for effective rehabilitation exercises. The candidate will work in an interdisciplinary environment across robotic engineering, biomedical engineering, neuroscience and clinical therapy. The project is carried out in close collaboration with multiple hospitals, primarily the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The PhD candidature is funded for 4 years, carrying scholarships for both tuition and stipend components. Interested candidates are to contact A/Prof Denny Oetomo (doetomo at unimelb.edu.au).
