Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory's (JHU/APL) Robotics and Autonomy Program is hosting a summit titled "Enabling Autonomous Solutions for EOD, CBRNE, and First Response - Advancing Autonomous Unmanned Air and Ground Systems." It will be held at JHU/APL's Kossiakoff Center on 30-31 Aug 2017.

The underlying idea with the conference is that these three communities have and are using a plethora of unmanned systems with great success. With the advancement of autonomy, we believe that there will be significant enhancement to those capabilities in the near future. Therefore, we endeavor to host this conference to better understand the users' requirements and operational concepts, the research communities' work effort and research thrusts, and program managers' current and planned investments and supported programs.

The current agenda is highlighted by the confirmed keynote speaker, BGen (R) Frank Kelley, Deputy Assistant of the Navy for Unmanned Systems. Day One will consist of presentations on requirement and operations with a variety of individual speakers and panels. Additionally, PMs will present their current portfolio and investments relevant to the subject. Day Two focuses on research from government labs, academia, and industry. In addition to the presentations, there will be exhibits and demonstrations.

There is no cost for attending, exhibiting, or demonstrating. There is a minimum charge ($10) for refreshments, and options for purchasing lunchtime meals ($15 each day) and the Day One Networking Reception ($25).
